The candidate will perform duties encompassing all aspects of claims handling: including initial investigation, coverage review and analysis, evaluation of liability, regular communication with customers and brokers to bring claims to resolution within their authority. Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area. OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance Area OR Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program and 3 or more years of experience in the Claims or Insurance Area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the claims or Insurance area AND Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s) Microsoft Office Experience. Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products. Juris Doctor (J.D.), 3 or more years of experience in claim handling and/or insurance experience within Veterinary professional liability claims, Negotiation experience, Strong analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to collaborate across work groups. Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance legal and regulatory environment. Knowledge of claims handling or insurance legal statutes and procedures.
