Position Summary:\u00A0 \u00A0The Live Hanger is responsible for firmly inserting both feet of the chicken into moving shackles. No dead birds are allowed to be hung on the kill line. The birds will then be stunned, killed, scalded, and picked free of feathers. The feet and heads will be removed prior to reaching and entering the evisceration room. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Team Member will place a live bird into every 9th shackle with both feet inserted firmly into the slots of the shackle. The 10th Hanger will catch and re-hang any birds that have been hung incorrectly by one leg while also hanging their own shackle. The 1st Hanger is responsible for moving the belt of which brings birds forward on the line. The first 3-4 Hangers push birds back towards the 1st Hanger when the belt does not push the birds at a reasonable speed to make sure there are no empty shackles or spaces in the belt.
