A law firm seeks a Patent Agent in Charlotte, NC, to join their Electrical and Computer Science IP team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of IP prosecution experience and be admitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base on national and international matters.

Duties

• Draft patent applications and manage IP prosecution processes.
• Collaborate with a team to support client needs in video/audio processing.
• Engage in research and analysis of technical data.
• Provide strategic advice on patent portfolio development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IP prosecution experience.
• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Experience in physics, math, optics, or audio/image processing preferred.
• Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus.

Education

• Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.

Certifications

• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
