SUMMARY: Own the reporting and analysis activity for Bacon & Hams Business Family to drive effective decision-making by the business. Track financial results of the business through timely and accurate reporting and analysis. Highlight key trends and issues and make recommendations to the BU. Prepare the monthly forecast estimate, quarterly projection, annual operating plan, and long range plan. Perform various activities as part of the monthly/quarter close. Understand complex raw material markets as they relate to products in the Bacon & Ham business, including understanding the impact and timing of market movements on price and cost. Interface with other departments to manage volume, cost, and supply chain knowledge/questions. Partner with category management to effectively plan, forecast, and monitor SG&A and Marketing expenses Establish/maintain below the line accrual rates. Compile monthly financial review for category leadership. REQUIREMENTS:Education: Requires broad knowledge in general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an academic field directly related and essential to the job being evaluated.Experience: 3 years of experience.Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills including generating spreadsheets, word processing and power point templates. Experience with SAP Financial applications, SAP Manufacturing/Costing applications, and Tyson Financial Reporting applications preferred.Special Skills: Relationship management and communication skills. Basic knowledge of all business cycles, systems and processes that impact Sales and Operations (Order to Cash, Demand Planning, Prepared Plant Operations, Purchase to Pay, Shared Services and Sales Operations). Must have expertise of mining and manipulating complex financial data in Excel. Uses intellectual curiosity to identify problems and develop solutions. Able to quickly distill and effectively communicate the key aspects of a variety of business issues affecting the business.Supervisory: NoneTravel: 3 or fewer domestic trips per year.
