A distinguished law firm is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Litigation Associate Attorney specializing in general liability to join its team. This role involves representing various clients, including business owners, landlords, managing agents, and security service organizations, in general liability cases. The successful candidate will bring strong litigation skills, excellent communication abilities, and the confidence to manage cases independently. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote and in-office work in Valhalla, NY.

Duties

• Develop and execute effective litigation strategies for general liability defense cases.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery materials, memoranda, briefs, and other legal documentation.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
• Engage in comprehensive client interactions, ensuring responsive and effective representation.
• Coordinate and interact with medical and other expert witnesses.
• Conduct thorough legal and medical research to support case strategy.
• Prepare and submit motions.
• Work collaboratively with legal team members to ensure cohesive case management.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or similar field.
• Knowledge of New York Labor Law is beneficial but not mandatory.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Certifications

• Active membership in the New York State Bar Association.
