Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with all aspects of early dispute resolution and litigation avoidance, including: Fact gathering and investigation of claims and issues; Document gathering, review, analysis and production; Responses to subpoenas; Drafting litigation-related documents, including correspondence, settlements and releases, demand letters and other notices; Performing advanced legal research/Westlaw, Pacer, and court docket system searches; Managing outside counsel and third-party billing and use of Serengeti software system. Manage and assist with legal databases and processes relating to litigation, including: Litigation case files, including monitoring and ensuring compliance with key deadlines; uploading pertinent file documents and information into electronic format; Service of process; Litigation reporting (Sarbanes and other quarterly reporting); Litigation hold process; Case closing process. Assist with development of guidelines, management tools, and offering solutions to mitigate risks.
