Duties: Work with in-house Legal and Compliance team and external counsel to monitor, and then implement responses to, regulatory developments that impact Systematic Strategies. Serve as the Legal and Compliance lead in the fund formation process, including disclosures, operational issues, side letter compliance, implementing fees and expenses provisions, establishing trading documents as well as the marketing of funds. Serve as the Legal and Compliance lead in new account onboarding including negotiation of investment management agreements, investment guidelines, the internal configuration of investment guidelines, and oversight of daily guidelines monitoring. Oversee marketing review and become deeply familiar with backtesting process, policies, and procedures to ensure compliant marketing material. Devise, initiate, maintain, and revise compliance and regulatory policies, procedures, controls, and training based specifically to systematic strategies including oversight of model-based policies and procedures. Provide regulatory and compliance advice to investment professionals and other personnel including preparation of reports to the investment team and senior management regarding compliance matters. Coordinate with Compliance team members and others in the preparation of regulatory reports and filings (e.g., Forms ADV, Form PF, Reg D, AIFMD) and annual 206(4)-7 compliance review. Work with team in responding to requests from regulators, preparing for regulatory examinations, and conducting mock examinations in conjunction with external consultants and counsel. Liaise with various business groups, including investment, marketing, accounting, operations and middle office departments to support Systematic Strategies.
