Job Summary
Responsible for managing the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) activities (policy, planning, implementation and operation, performance assessment, management review, improvement, and documentation providing auditable evidence). Responsible for executing the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) activities across the enterprise and implementing the Business Continuity Office (BCO), providing overall subject matter expertise, strategy, consulting, and standards to all lines of business across the enterprise. Work collaboratively and independently to facilitate crisis management and business continuity activities across the enterprise. May manage a team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities: Ensure responsibilities and authorities for relevant roles are executed across the organization. Manage the gap remediation activities identified after completion of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), Technology Risk Assessments (TRAs), and Location Risk Assessments (LRAs), executing critical risk tolerance decisions balancing complex value vs. cost decisions. Monitor and escalate implementation of continuity strategies. Monitor and escalate for all relevant teams, technologies, and locations to have continuity plans commensurate with their level of criticality to key business processes. Monitor vendor management requirements for BC/DR for third-party vendors. Execute BCO program processes as necessary. Implement awareness and training programs to promote and educate the enterprise on the business continuity program, including specified roles and responsibilities. Execute and monitor BCMS Plan maintenance and exercising across the enterprise, including training and support. Monitor the effectiveness of business continuity as it pertains to enterprise resources and internal controls. Maintain ongoing collaboration with business units on crisis management, emergency preparedness, and continuity activities and requirements. Maintain relationships with vendors supporting program resources and initiatives. Act as business continuity and crisis management point of contact for business unit peers/ stakeholders across various lines of business. Support partnering with leadership of various risk disciplines (CGA, Cyber, Security, Risk Management) on implementation of continuity requirements. Conduct risk assessment, and program assessment. Conduct gap analysis and remediation strategy development. Manage crisis activation and response management. Manage business continuity program awareness promotion and training. Manage program governance and compliance management. Certified CBCP, CBCI, NICS/ICS. Oversee daily business operations and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures. Ensure internal control adherence and provides audit support. Adaptive flexibility, and change agent embracing new ideas. Analytical problem solver. Develop/coach others. Confidence, and diplomacy.
