Tax Manager - Trusts and Estates

The candidate will utilize technical expertise and a collaborative attitude to deliver exceptional tax compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Will advise ultra-high net worth clients on a full spectrum of tax services including wealth transfer, charitable and retirement planning, and other related tax matters. Identify complex tax issues impacting clients and provide an effective resolution. Manage an engagement team focused on the individual, fiduciary, gift, generation-skipping and estate taxation matters, including engagement planning and budget. Review complex individual (Form 1040), estate (Form 706) gift (Form 709), and fiduciary (Form 1041) tax returns, including related tax schedules and supporting forms. Review clients’ estate planning documents including last wills and testaments, trust agreements, powers of attorney, and healthcare proxies. Exhibit a general understanding of estate planning concepts beneficial to clients. Collaborate with other Mazars Tax personnel regarding state and local taxation and international taxation matters that impact clients. Provide leadership, mentorship and professional development to other tax staff, and delegate work assignments to the engagement team. Develop and sustain strong client relationships with client personnel and other professional advisors. Stay current on technical and industry standards while evaluating the potential impact on clients and their family's financial position. Participate in client proposals and new business development opportunities. Drive and collaborate with firm leadership on growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
