Counsel, Government Contracts
The candidate will ensure compliance with Government and commercial contracts, including prime contracts, and assist mission managers with contract performance. Negotiate Government contracts, non-disclosure agreements and subcontractor/vendor contracts. Draft responses to government and commercial proposal solicitations in coordination with mission managers and engineers. Review, interpret and provide advice regarding contract and agreement types. Manage invoices and payments with Government and commercial contracts. Create and maintain contract and business files. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with Government counterparts. Should have 5+ years of government contract administration or management experience. A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Knowledge of Government contracts and contract types, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and/or the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS). DoD and/or NASA contract administration experience is preferred. Request for proposal (RFP) analysis and proposal preparation experience is preferred. Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
