The Outside Commercial Sales Field Representative - Business-To-Business, ideally based in the northern Chicago suburban market, will market\u00a0Batteries Plus Bulbs\u00a0as the one-stop-shop for power, charging, and lighting solutions for businesses.\u00a0 We are a growing retailer with 700 stores nationwide that also supplies battery and lighting products to small, medium, and large businesses within all industries. Can you think of any business that does not use power or lighting products?\u00a0 In this role, you will be driving our business-to-business commercial sales in the field through prospecting and qualifying leads, creating sales proposals, conducting in-person sales presentations, and ultimately closing the sale, the Outside Sales Representative will continue to grow our new business accounts in the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin markets.
As the Outside Commercial Sales Field Representative, you will also promote programs and services we offer for businesses such as business accounts, recycling programs, on-site battery testing and needs assessments all while being helpful, trustworthy, reliable, resourceful, and passionate in providing businesses with solutions. You will have at least two years of outside business-to-business sales experience, a valid driver's license, demonstrated past B2B sales success, and a passion for sales and providing solutions for local businesses. Competitive base salary \/ Full-benefits package \/ Uncapped commissions
Drive new commercial sales in a designated field territory for northern Chicago-land, northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin\u00a0
Generate, prospect and qualify leads through cold calling, networking, referrals and other resourceful methods
Create sales proposals, conduct in-person sales presentations to local businesses, close the sale
Utilize CRM system,, to build a sales pipeline, manage prospects, run sales reports, and manage commercial customer accounts
Passion for business-to-business outside sales
Two or more years of experience in outside B2B commercial sales
Demonstrated success in prospecting, negotiating, follow up and closing the sale
Self-motivated to resourcefully generate new leads, maintaining a sales pipeline\u00a0
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Experienced making presentations to small groups of employers
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
Ability for some overnight travel as required
