The candidate will gain invaluable experience utilizing electronic discovery tools and work in databases such as Relativity, conducting searches and identifying factually relevant and privileged data to support assigned investigations. Will conduct and verify taint and discovery reviews in Relativity for large, criminal cases prosecuted by the Capitol Siege Section of USAO-DC. Review batched documents for materials covered by specified privileges, including but not limited to the Executive Privilege, the attorney-client privilege, attorney-client work product, and materials protected by the speech and debate of the constitution. Tag documents for attorney-client and/or work product privilege and responsiveness to relevant search warrants. Perform complex legal research for the trial staff using Westlaw and Lexis Nexis to determine specified privilege. Create indices and summarizes the reviewed documents for analysis. The discovery review would involve reviewing documents, creating databases, coding, creating indices, and summarizing the documents for analysis. Assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc. Review documents for relevance and privilege; and assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
