About the role

If you’re a problem-solver with exceptional coordination skills, experience in the legal sector, a flair for Microsoft Office Suite and a love of learning, this newly created role could be the one for you. Former Business Analysts or Project Coordinators who are looking for a step up (and potentially a career path towards Project Manager) might also be interested in this unique opportunity!

As a part of our dynamic Technology Projects team, this position plays a key role in coordinating multiple projects for the firm – all highly integrated and working towards a common vision. Your attention to detail and delivery-focused approach will ensure key technology projects are successfully monitored, documented, tracked, reported, integrated and implemented.

Collaborate and engage across the business, working closely with the wider Technology team, other KWM Shared Services groups and the legal teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Variety is the spice of life: you’ll enjoy a mix of large and small projects, teams of varying sizes, and gain exposure to experts and professionals across all spaces and levels.

Key duties will include:

Project coordination – maintaining communication with Technology, Shared Services, Legal, Support and third-party staff to ensure the successful delivery of projects to time and budget

Reporting - utilising metrics, test and deployment management activities

Program/project scoping and requirements analysis

Issue and risk identification

Budget management

Change management and communication

Stakeholder engagement

Liaison with third party vendors

This role is offered on a 12 month contract basis.

What experience are we looking for?

Essential

Demonstrated experience with project coordination or business analysis; or experience in a role with strong transferrable skills and an interest in technology (such as Legal Practice Assistant or Legal Secretary)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build professional relationships with people at all levels of the organisation

Strategic thinking skills and commercial acumen

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Ability to manage priorities and time in accordance to schedules

Highly regarded

3 years information technology project experience

Bachelor’s degree in computing related field

Industry certification (Prince2, PMP etc)

Exposure to a corporate or professional services environment

Understanding and consistent application of project management competencies
