Join our Premium Accounting Leadership team and make a difference!  This is a hybrid role within our office located in Owens Mills, Maryland. The Operations Manager II, Premium Accounting is responsible for addressing day-to-day service requirements and escalations originating from field offices and insurance markets. Oversee specialists and make decisions related to resource management, employee development needs, process development and implementation of processes and procedures. The person in this role ensures that transactions are implemented with the highest degree of accuracy, according to established timeframes and within the standards required to meet all compliance and control guidelines. What the day will look likePartner with the Operations Director to identify knowledge, skill and abilities required for PASC leadership roles.  Identifies associates with leadership potential; create development and succession plans for key associates.Responsible for the planning and execution of strategic business objectives in partnership with leadership including development of departmental goals. Presence at key leadership meetings as needed.Responsible for day-to-day management of up to 10-15 colleaguesPerform Human Resources responsibilities (resolve issues, track attendance, address personnel issues, conduct performance appraisals and conduct interviews) Coach, mentor and train associate staff. Make sure that company and division policies are communicated and supported.Identify process deficiencies and recommend improvementsResolve complex customer service issues as identified by Aon field offices and/or partner insurance carriersConduct individual associate meetings and team meetingsPerform analyses of quality assurance resultsPeriodic travel may be requiredBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.How this opportunity is differentThis is a critical role that works with our offshore vendor team to handle transactions and payments.  The person in this role will lead/manage our onshore team to ensure that all client funds are supported accurately.  Use your accounting/finance and treasury/cash management skills to add immediate value in this role! Skills and experience that will lead to successMinimum of 6 years of related work experience, including direct supervision of staff.3 years of insurance experience preferredAn understanding of basic accounting preferredThe target salary range for this position is $76,000.00 to $83,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans.
