Staff Attorney
Duties: Serve as Staff Attorney for Operations. Support senior attorneys in handling a broad range of health care, business, and operational legal issues, including preparation and/or review of legal documents. Respond to legal questions from clinical staff and internal business partners in a timely manner. Provide internal staff development educational sessions on a variety of legal issues as assigned. Provide support to risk management and senior attorneys on a variety of medico-legal issues. Negotiate, draft and review complex legal documents, including professional services agreements, vendor contracts, educational agreements, real estate and leasing contracts and other agreements as may be assigned. Provide legal advice as assigned regarding compliance with relevant laws and regulations, in particular those involving healthcare providers, including EMTALA, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, Stark laws and relevant Florida laws and regulations. Collaborate with Compliance department on issues affecting business operations.
