Organizes, coordinates and monitors all phases of plant projects and pipeline repair projects, preparing bills and purchasing materials, scheduling and supervising construction activities and crews.
Plans and schedules employees’ work and work involving construction crews.
Monitors construction expenses.
Prepares regularly scheduled reports.
Trains and develops skills of current and new personnel.
Communicates effectively with employees, producers, contractors and clients to develop, promote and maintain positive relationships.
Ensures compliance with Company construction specifications.
Ensures compliance with Company safety policies, assists with implementation and promotion of safety program and attends scheduled safety meetings.
Ensures and documents compliance with Company policies concerning regulatory compliance.
Informs Gas Supply personnel of status of new well connections and drilling activities.
Participates in Company-provided training.
Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications): 3 years of experience in natural gas pipeline and compressor facilities construction. Must have valid driver license and good driving record. Must be able to work in team oriented environment involving several supervisors. Must be able work overtime, if needed, in hazardous conditions.
Supervisory experience and operation/maintenance experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.
Detail oriented, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office, and a high level of comfort with changing technologies.
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills. Work in a fast paced environment and display a sense of urgency and strong customer service.
Displays good judgment, maintains confidentiality, as needed, and makes sound decisions.
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
Works indoors and outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment, as well as in an office.
Occasionally works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
This position operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc) on a regular basis.
Occasionally required to move objects weighing up to 25 lbs; This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the Company’s employees, clients, vendors and/or contractors.
This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 60% of the time.
Follows and adheres to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, ear plugs, FRCs).
Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.
Must be able to occasionally bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level a load up to 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads.
