Marketing Content Specialist
The candidate will edit content for use across dwt.com, as well as advise subject matter experts on best practices on writing thought leadership for the web (blogs, advisories, etc.). Drive consumer action and engagement for each practice and industry group, as well as firmwide. Will work with the Marketing and Practice Management functions to accomplish content strategy objectives and to ensure superior visitor experiences. Manage and maintain short- and long-term editorial calendar for website content. Ensure blogs and other content aligns with DWT style and is SEO optimized. Draft new professional bios for attorneys and some staff. Work with Content Director to ensure firm wide message and brand are consistent across all digital channels, including blogs and email. Manage external syndicators (JDSupra, Lexology). Advise thought leaders on best practices for web content writing, such as headlines, tone, and style for webpages, blog posts, advisories, and social media. Collaborate with Social Media Specialist to help leverage firm content on social media. Interview and develop strong relationships with internal subject matter experts. Develop and maintain online content that attracts attention, generates interest and is easily shared by key audiences. Recommend new approaches and recognize opportunities to repurpose, repackage, and optimize content to improve return on content investment. Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing is required. Should have 5+ years’ of experience in copywriting and editing in professional services industry. Should have 3+ years’ of professional experience writing for and/or managing for external audiences. Should have 2+ years’ experience with MS Office. Knowledge and experience with SEO is required. Experience within a Brand Marketing team is required.
