The candidate provides legal advice and representation to individuals and businesses in purchases and sales of residential and commercial real estate. Negotiates client concerns, including liens, judgments, outstanding permits encroachment, landlord/tenant disputes - working toward resolving disputes. Provides legal advice on title issues, escrow disputes, zoning violations, property management, restrictions and agreements on real estate, property taxes and contract interpretation. Works with realtors, title processors, and closers, offering legal oversight and guidance. Drafts routine real estate documentation, including sales contracts, leases and amendments. Performs other related duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in law is required. Juris doctor degree or equivalent from an accredited law school is required. Should have 3-5 years experience. Experience in real estate law and industry knowledge, including litigation, lease transaction, property management, and purchase/sale transactions as well as title insurance underrating, curative, and claims is required. Active license to practice law and/or membership in state Bar is required.
