National Broker Sales Rep

Location: Any Anthem Office Location

Establish and maintain a business relationship and work strategically with assigned brokers in achieving annual sales

targets by state and product line. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Develop and implement programs to achieve sales goals, utilizing and enhancing the resources to implement those strategies.

Maintain a strong market awareness in assigned region, supporting other National Brokers.

Formulates and defines business development strategies for assigned brokers by states/regions to increase market penetration and grow book of business.

Work directly with national broker agency leaders and contacts on general relationship building, sales strategy development, marketing tactics and sales execution.

Monitor performance of specific agents, territories or markets.

Coordinate training, sales readiness and other execution requirements on sales readiness, tactical strategies, support and execution.


Requires a BA/BS

5 years of industry sales/broker account management experience in the Health Insurance Industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Account mgmt/relationship mgmt experience is preferred.

Experience managing large scale/national brokers is preferred

Active and current Life and health Insurance state license required in state of origin.

Medicare plan experience preferred.

Anthem work experience is preferred.

Must be able to travel - approx 25%
