SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industryrequired or other QA type experience.Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; abilityto lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problemidentification and problem solving skills; math and organizationalskills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; mustfunction well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and whenneeded.Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. ormore).Supervisory: NoneTravel: None

Openings for this position will be filled by the most qualified, eligible bidder per Tyson’s Job Bidding Policy. Must have completed 90-day probationary period to apply. If a non-probationary period team member is not selected, probationary team members will be considered. Must have a satisfactory attendance record of 4.5 points or less to apply. Must not have received a written in the previous 3 months and no warning/suspension in the previous 6 months. Non operators must have completed a six-month period on previous successful bid. Must submit application in WORKDAY. **This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations or external applicants will then be reviewed for consideration.
