Part-time Legal Assistant

The candidate will join a Social Security Law Practice and work 15-20 hours per week. Will provide overall support to the office. Request medical records, track progress, follow up phone calls. Answer phones. File preparation and closure. Mailings (intermittent). Process/Scan mail and faxes daily. Schedule appointments/reminder calls. Reception tasks (greet clients, check front office voicemails, coffee). Process client payments. Other duties as assigned. Submit evidence electronically. New client intake (phone or in person). Record and store client information/updates. Client and government agency contact via phone, email and in person. Case management of Federal Court level cases, electronic filings. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Associate's degree is preferred. Prior experience as a legal assistant a plus.
