Insurance Defense Litigation Legal Secretary
The candidate will provide support of all office legal matters, including: Intake, filing, tracking and follow up of all cases. Generate and manage legal templates, prepare correspondence, assist in the creation of presentations. Accept service of process of legal documents personally served at Headquarters Office Building. Provide clerical/administrative support functions for the OGC. Answering calls/messages. Mail processing. Bill payments. Data entry and reporting. Courier activities. General typing/correspondence. Filing/E Filing. Scheduling/calendar follow up. Perform other duties as assigned. Scheduling appointments, meetings, agendas, itineraries, and work priorities. Researching and summarizing information utilizing research software. Compiling, reviewing and interpreting requests for information and data. Drafting court correspondence. Extensive experience utilizing P.C. software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, VISIO). Knowledge of Michigan No Fault required. Must have High School Diploma or the equivalent. Legal Secretary experience (2 years or more preferred). Experience in insurance defense litigation and/or personal injury litigation preferred.
