VP, Professional Services Category Lead

Responsibilities: Lead team of category and strategic sourcing professionals responsible for category management, sourcing strategy and execution and contract negotiations related to multiple Professional Services categories of spend (including Legal, Marketing and Advertising, Third Party Data, HR Services, Consulting, Temporary Staffing, etc). Drive significant reductions in initial costs by category, monitoring and approving sourcing strategies and seeking year on year improvements in total cost of ownership, maintaining and improving service levels. Establish and expand relationships with Hartford clients across the lines of business as well as multiple corporate functions, including senior leadership. Influence procurement strategies and decisions through intensive collaboration with Procurement and business stakeholders. Lead complex, highly visible negotiations with major vendors. Review, monitor and approve strategic plans by category and track performance of each category under management. Develop and implement best practices in each category. Evaluate and monitor performance of team and develop employees. Participate as an active member of the Strategic Sourcing and Real Estate leadership team so as to contribute to the achievement of the team’s objectives both with respect to this position’s direct responsibilities as well as overall objectives across the team.
