Harley-Davidson is looking for a proven leader to join our team as a Director of Marketing \u2013 Community & Experiences. We are seeking a creative and strategic thought leader who has proven experience in leading teams to deliver business impacting customer experiences and events. This position sits on the H-D Marketing leadership team and helps to shape the long-term strategic marketing plan and ensure that everything we do related to Community and Experiences is aligned with the Company\u2019s strategy. This is what you\u2019ll do\u2026 This role is responsible for experience strategy and planning (including anniversaries), motorsports, Harley Owners Group (HOG)\/Rider community activities, event operations and centralized company-owned vehicle (COV) fleet management and maintenance. Responsible for developing consumer-led experience strategies that increase relevance of the H-D brand and community while delivering impactful consumer facing events that deliver on our goals of growing ridership. We are looking for an individual who has a strong personal presence and proven ability in setting the strategic direction for the work while also being able to activate and operationalize the strategies through our customer experiences and events. The role requires a leader who can be an agent of change and inspire their team to think differently in order to drive continuous improvement and higher impact experiences. A builder of high performing teams and ability to influence cross functional groups will be key to success in this role. Shares the Community and Experiences strategies around the globe and is accountable for ensuring that local executions deliver on the set strategies within the Marketing framework. Education Required Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, marketing or a related discipline required. Motorcycle license is preferred. Experience Required We are looking for someone with.. A minimum of 12 years of experience in consumer experiences and event management, in addition to the following: Solid grasp of strategy, overall business operations and a strong bias for results. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the H-D brand and products. Some travel is required (25-35%). The position requires effective leadership, strong collaboration and people management skills. Demonstrates excellence in mentoring, people development and motivation of others. Possesses impeccable written and oral communication skills. Strong strategic skills while also being able to activate and help the team deliver the work. Employs visible participative leadership. Demonstrates sound ability to lead and gain results through influence of peers and senior leaders. Courageous leader willing to challenge existing opinions and ideas in the pursuit of excellence in customer experience and community development. Embodies a strong sense of urgency in terms of both the prevention of issues and the timely and effective reaction to issues if they do emerge.
