Re-Engagement Implementation Manager
The candidate will be responsible for the Options School model design, and for overseeing the implementation of a re-enrollment pilot that strengthens the process between sending and receiving schools and identifying additional support to ensure students either improve in existing schools or successfully transition towards graduation in a new school environment. Will also be responsible for supporting the design of new Options Schools models that ensure Options School students receive high-quality supports across academic instruction, socioemotional supports, and postsecondary pathways. Report to the Executive Director of Student Support and Engagement in the Office of College and Career Support and the Project Director of the Children First Fund, closely supporting the Options School Leadership in the Office of Innovation and Incubation. Develop a work plan for the project that sets intermediate deadlines and identifies key milestones and critical interdependencies between work streams. Through research by the Education Lab, amalgamation of historical evidence and input from the field, develop a new Options School model or models for implementation at CPS. Supervise the specialist overseeing the enrollment pilot. Along with the Project Director at the Education Lab and at the Children First Fund, establish a governance structure that secures input from key stakeholders on the direction and progress of the project. Build strategic partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, Options Schools operators and community organizations. Coordinate the CPS Internal Steering committee and collaborate across departments internally such as Office of Social Emotional Learning, Budget Office, Office of Network Support, Office of Teaching and Learning, etc. Manage the workflow of project implementation in coordination with various CPS departments. Understand and support research efforts to learn from CPS investments. Serve as a point of contact for the Education Lab through the Children’s First Fund. Ensure that all grant milestones are achieved. Bachelor’s degree in public policy, education, social work or a closely related field required; an advanced degree (i.e. EdD, MBA, MPP, JD, MSW) preferred. Should have 5+ years of highly successful project management or similar experience including demonstrated success navigating various stakeholder interests to produce a common goal. Knowledge of or experience working with high needs or vulnerable populations preferred. Should have 3 years of experiencing managing full-time employees. Education and experience in student development, counseling, curriculum and instruction, or educational administration is highly desirable. Previous experience working with a research study preferred.
