Associate Counsel
Duties: Provide sound legal counsel consistent with AP’s Values, Vision, Mission, and Strategic Priorities. Draft and assist in the negotiation, interpretation, and administration of agreements including construction agreements, financing documents, and joint venture agreements. Evaluate and pursue coverage issues. Oversee any variety of disputed matters whether they be litigated, arbitrated, or negotiated. Manage outside counsel and other professionals. Provide risk management guidance at the direction of the Director of Risk Management. Prepare and deliver training on legal and risk related topics. Work directly with various business teams and counsel internal business clients on a broad range of day-to-day issues involving contracts, project issues and risk management matters. Advise and assist with a variety of corporate legal issues.
