Packaging Systems Director

Profile

The Packaging Systems Director leads the development, discovery, communication, and coordination of packaging systems within Sargento Foods Inc. Packaging systems are defined as the material, machine, and methods integration of product primary/secondary/tertiary packaging and merchandizing.
Summary of Position Responsibility:
Provides the central point for all packaging related communication within Sargento.
Provides packaging innovation leadership and coordination for Sargento.
Provides leadership in ongoing packaging operations.
Provides leadership and people management for packaging systems.
Inventing may occur or be required as part of this position.
Supervisory responsibility for engineers and/or technicians.
Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Packaging Engineering is required.
A Master of Science Degree in Packaging engineering is preferred.
12 years of progressive packaging and business experience
Demonstrated use of academic resources
R&D Packaging experience desirable
Food Packaging experience required
Additional continuing education will be required as needed to sustain departmental/individual technological levels.
