The Data Warehouse Systems Analyst provides technical leadership from project inception through rollout, creating high-level technical requirements and designs to develop and support optimal IT solutions by applying knowledge of business processes and systems architecture.
The Data Warehouse Systems Analyst (SA) Sr. Consultant creates high-level technical designs for complex projects and maintenance efforts by analyzing requirements and systems architecture, collaborating with technology partners and adhering to tool standards with little assistance. The SA Consultant assesses, documents, and mitigates design constraints and/or risks and performs design reviews to develop and support optimal IT solutions.
\tCreates the high-level technical design for one or more highly-complex projects and maintenance efforts by analyzing and tracing designs to requirements (business and functional) and systems architecture\u00a0
\tAccountable for creation high level technical designs, leading design reviews, and performing analysis for a portfolio of applications
\tUnderstands the technical details, integration, and functions of multiple applications, hardware, and/or software within a team. Executes and enforces best practices. May be responsible to identify and design for non-functional requirements
\tActs as a liaison between the business analyst and the development /test team
\tTroubleshooting and root cause analysis for systems issues
\tApplies extensive technology and business experience to identify and define strategic information technology needs across all major business functions in data warehouse product suite.
\tConsults and provide inputs on the development, review and final approval of project estimates and statements of work for large and complex efforts or those which have a significant technical impact regardless of size
\tProvides inputs to the Quality Control Analysts on the approach and content required to conduct module, integration, and functional testing
\tCollaborates with appropriate parties to resolve complex change control issues. Communicates the results of these decisions to all affected stakeholders
\tReview and approves operations, environment, and/or desktop training plans for the largest/most complex projects
\tLeads the effort to obtain agreement from the technology organization leadership on required operations, environment, and/or desktop design
Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent experience
\u2022\u00a05 yrs hands-on experience with data warehouse Management Systems (ETL and Reporting)
\u2022\u00a0Sound knowledge of system configuration options to support business processes, is required
\u2022\u00a0Hands-on experience with Oracle DBMS, SQL, Stored Procedures
\u2022\u00a0Sound functional, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
\u2022\u00a0Experience with Microsoft Office suite
\u2022\u00a0Good understanding of Business Intelligence Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling,\u00a0 data warehouse and reporting techniques, ETL and ELT processes
\u2022\u00a0Informatica and Business objects exposure is a plus
