Marketing and Promotions Specialist
Charlotte, North Carolina
This Is What You’ll Do:
Internal Department Development
Participates in marketing/media strategy development, planning and budgeting to ensure alignment/attainment of goals.
Completes various marketing analytics and donor center reports as assigned.
Works with Marketing Director and Managers on special marketing/communications projects that require broader coordination/connectivity.
Evaluates/analyzes all marketing plans/activities and makes refinements; monitors market and competitor communications to identify potential opportunities to maximize impact.
Participates in cross-departmental projects, where marketing input is required, with the goal of driving business results.
Provides support to field and donor center management in the development and implementation of regional/local marketing initiatives.
Identifies opportunities, makes suggestions for and implements programs that expand customer reach and community awareness and involvement; supports donor centers in local outreach, as required.
Budget and Fiscal Control
Manages marketing and events budgets, as assigned. Manages vendors/agencies to meet project and budgetary requirements. Checks invoicing, as required.
Organizational Leadership and Effectiveness
Connects with corporate and field management at all levels in support of donor center media/marketing efforts; participates in national and regional meetings and donor center visits to grow organizational/business awareness.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.

This Is What It Takes:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, or equivalent field and/or experience
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in marketing or retail environment
Experience working with a national multi-site organization preferred.
High level proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Prefer individuals with some experience in one or more of the following:
Adobe InDesign Suite, Photoshop
