Staff Accountant-Payroll

Woonsocket, RI

In this important position, you will assist the

finance department

. This will include: monthly and quarterly reconciliations – including A/R discrepancies; Federal and State payroll reporting; cash flow reporting; bank account/investment account reconciliations. You will also be involved in: updating and preparing audit schedules; budget support and schedule preparation; backing up the Controller in their absence; attending various seminars. As the Staff Accountant you will participate in month and year-end closing activities and financial reporting, reconciling detail schedules on the General Ledger, and recording Journal Entries. Education/Licensing Requirements:

Accounting degree or full-time accounting experience – preferably in non-profit. Excellent Word and Excel skills are essential, and non-profit accounting software experience (such as Blackbuad) is decided plus.
