Assistant General Counsel - IT, Supply Chain
The candidate should have a Law degree from a U.S. accredited institution; an active license to practice in at least one U.S. state, preferably in a state in which the company operates. Should have 5 years’ experience in a large or specialized law firm, supporting complex organizations. Experience in drafting and negotiating IT transactions and commercial and health care transactions that include IT components, including GPO/supply chain, software licensing, SaaS, clinical equipment procurement and IT/IS infrastructure and telecommunications arrangements. Basic knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy-related issues, including supporting breach notifications. Knowledge of impact of health care regulatory laws and regulations on IT matters – GDPR a plus. Maintains positive, collaborative and effective relationships with peers and internal clients and outside parties including vendors. Strong communication, organizational, planning, problem solving, technology, analytical, judgment, research, and multi-tasking skills. Computer Science or IT-related training a plus. Ability to draft documents of substantial complexity combined with a track record of working effectively and independently in a high volume, high accountability environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, with all levels of health system personnel.
