Investment Analysts are responsible for analyzing potential investments in seniors housing, post-acute care and outpatient medical. Key responsibilities include underwriting potential acquisition and development opportunities; operator/client credit analysis; review and analysis of business plans, management teams, budgets and financial statements, both at the company-wide and individual property or portfolio level. The Investment Team is at the forefront of the growth of the business and has ownership of working on all new investments from the initial valuation and deal structuring through detailed due diligence and closing.
Perform financial analysis and forecasting
Perform real estate valuation
Produce market analysis/site selection
Conduct demographic and utilization analysis
Research credit analysis
Business place review
Review legal document
Monitor and evaluate operator and property performance
Summarize and report asset management findings to management
Participate in monthly and quarterly meetings with operators
The Investment Analysts will work report directly to the Vice President, Investments and will closely with the following departments:
Work with Business Development with respect to evaluating new acquisition and development opportunities.
Accounting & Tax:
Work with the Accounting and Tax departments on the underwriting of new investments to ensure the appropriate and desired accounting/tax treatment is realized, along with ensuring any identified, related risks are mitigated.
Partner with legal to ensure efficient and effective real estate closings.
Work with Asset Management to capture relevant financial information from Operators.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required. MBA preferred when appropriate.
A minimum of 0-2 years relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software systems
