Humana's Claims Cost Management (CCM) organization is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Professional 2 to join the Financial and Operations Reporting team. The Finance Professional 2 analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.

Responsibilities

As a Finance Professional 2 you will collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions. Other responsibilities include:

Analyzing the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives

Evaluating industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position

Analyzing revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates

May be involved in financial modeling, reporting and budgeting

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent ideally in finance, accounting or similar field

3 years minimum experience in a finance or accounting role

Intermediate or advanced level user with a relational database (Access, Oracle or other)

Intermediate or advanced level user with Microsoft Excel

Proficient in manipulating financial data for analysis and reporting

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required

Preferred Qualifications

Previous health insurance industry experience working in a Finance/Accounting department

Experience with SAS
