Intern Tax EVS Transfer Pricing Summer 2021
The candidate will determine how businesses in various industries set up their value and supply chains, analyze those companies and their competitors, and help recommend improvements to achieve their desired results, maintain or improve their performance, and protect those results from attack. Assist with improving efficiency and productivity within a client’s business by connecting departments with Finance, Accounting, Economics, and Tax teams. Support meetings with senior client management to further develop business knowledge, and help prepare recommendations for improved results and mitigated risks with a focus on planning, efficient Lean Six Sigma implementation and compliance, dispute avoidance and management, and technology. Help advise clients by researching and benchmarking businesses, products, industries, markets, and conventional and digital economies to connect economic theory to corporate practicalities. Use innovative technologies and work towards developing new applications and platforms for use internally and externally, driving more efficiencies as well as timely and accurate advice. Understand how transfer pricing principles impact businesses, and work with KPMG member firms around the world to help our clients achieve their business goals. Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative field, or a J.D. with a focus in taxation from an accredited college/university. Coursework or minor in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Data and Analytics preferred. Should have demonstrated quality service mindset, and coursework or knowledge of strategic transfer pricing studies, financial statement analysis, quantitative and competitive analysis, statistical sampling and econometrics, strategy evaluation and/or operational performance analysis. Coursework or knowledge of supply chains, operations management, workflow processes, Lean Six Sigma, and project management. Demonstrated ability to explain complex topics using simple terms and descriptions, and sales or customer service experience a plus. Must have strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to navigate MS Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Power BI), Alteryx, Tableau and other data analysis and visualization tools. Should have excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work.
