Associate Director, MBA Community Standards
Duties: Reporting to the Executive Director, MBA Program and directly staffing the Chair, MBA Community Standards (Chair), will serve as the administrative lead providing expertise about, and management of a wide range of policies and processes related to the MBA student community values, student conduct and academic standards. Work with the Chair to develop and administer processes to promote values, set standards, and address policy violations. Assist with policy development and support for other departments. May include policies related to faculty, doctoral and/or executive education participants. Provide support to the Chair, MBA Community Standards in managing the aspirational aspects of the Community Values program, managing the disciplinary process, developing appropriate procedures and policies, and in the communications with key constituent groups. Provide support to the Executive Director, MBA Program, in managing the day to day aspects of the School's Community Values program. Serve as a resource to faculty, students, staff to interpret policies and processes. Ensure policies and processes comply with state and federal guidelines as well as best practices in higher education. At the direction of the Chair, MBA Community Standards, in some cases serve as the fact finder of potential violations, including research of relevant legal and related protocol, and serve as liaison with Office of General Counsel, as needed. In other cases, manage an external fact finder. Manage the logistics of the Conduct Review Board. Draft the written findings for the disciplinary process. Manage the application of sanctions imposed on students through the disciplinary process. Maintain records of infractions, sanctions and processes. Serve on the investigative team for complaints of sexual and gender-based harassment. Staff the Dean’s Award Committee, supporting the faculty chair on all operations including advertising, managing nominations, committee communications, and liaising with the Dean’s Office on coordinating recognition of winners. Serve as liaison and administrative advisor to the student Leadership and Values Committee.
