Human Resources Manager
The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including self-funded medical, dental, and vision, as well as life insurance, disability, FMLA and all optional benefits. Will work closely with the CHRO, Benefits Committee, insurance brokers and outside vendors to execute the firm’s benefits package with compliance and fiscally responsible strategies. Serve as liaison with the firm’s 401k vender, Principal Financial Group, in the day-to-day 401k plan administration. Work closely with payroll to ensure benefit deductions are correctly administered. Process various leaves of absence requests (FMLA, STD, paternity & adoption, etc.) consistent with the firm’s policies and regulatory guidelines. Manages day-to-day system activities to support the HR and Payroll departments. Manages HR onboarding processes and documents, including setup of payroll administration and hiring. Oversees and maintains the optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade of applications, systems, and modules. Serves as an internal report-writing expert to support CHRO and other firm leadership in the business decision-making process. Serves as a lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, and external vendors for HRIS design and implementation projects. Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements. Work with department heads, hiring managers and attorneys to source professional employee staff from agencies and direct hires. Draft job descriptions and job postings. Schedule and participate in screening interviews. Coordinate with the HR team in extending verbal and written offers, and checking references. Conduct HR research on current market conditions and best business practices, as requested. Assist with developing personnel policies for inclusion in the Employee Handbook. Participate in performance meetings as needed.
