Senior BIC Compliance Analyst
The candidate will review emails, identify, and file waivers, engagement letters and disengagement letters submitted to the Waivers & Engagements mailbox. Additional duties include reviewing client and matter closure requests associated with ethical walls to determine if the wall may come down or needs to remain active, and timely tracking and following up re the completion of New Business requests pending executed engagement letters. Must have a college degree, 2+ years of law firm conflicts experience, knowledge of American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct and California State Bar Association’s Rules of Professional Conduct, and an overall understanding of a corporate law practice. Should preferably have knowledge of searching conflicts and experience with complete conflicts resolution. A Paralegal Certificate or completion of an ethics course in a paralegal program is preferred, with a JD being strongly preferred.
