Elliott Aviation, a leader in aircraft solutions, has an exciting opportunity for a Summer Aircraft Interior Intern
at their corporate headquarters in Moline, IL. This is an opportunity for high school or college students with an interest in Aircraft interior including seating, upholstery, installation, and industrial sewing. Interns can apply educational experience while gaining valuable hands-on experience assisting in various areas of the interior shop. You must be at least 16 years old by June 5th in order to be considered.
This position is a 10-week internship that will start on or around June 5th and continue through August 18th. It is a full-time paid internship. Start and end dates are flexible to your school schedule. Housing may also be available.
Responsibilities of this Position Include:
Assisting with disassembling and reassembling aircraft interiors
Assist to strip coverings from existing interior panels and re-cover with new materials
Assist to cut, fit, and install aircraft carpeting.
Repair any damaged interior parts or panels.
Assist strip coverings and foam from existing interior components and re-cover with new materials.
With supervision work with leather and fabrics to refurbish aircraft interior components.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in high school or post-secondary education program
Ability to work full-time for 10 weeks from June through August 2023
Reliable transportation
