As a Data Center Technician Lead you'll lead the coordination, execution and documentation of service orders at a client data center facility.
What you'll do at Insight:
*Ensure client data center standards are followed by all Insight and subcontractor technicians *Perform necessary hardware and peripheral repairs. *Install and test system hardware at customer site. *Identify, pull, terminate and label Cat3, 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, coax and fiber optic cable *Install support structures and pathways (J-hooks, support rings, cable slings and cable tray / ladder rack, conduit and raceway). *Installs, tests, and configures network and data communication equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, VPN devices, etc. *Performs server hardware support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
What you'll need to join Insight:
*Bachelor's Degree or 2 years' experience. *Experience in leading and overseeing all technician activities in a client Data Center *Understanding LAN-WAN, Personal Computers, Messaging and Server Software Applications *Ability to determine assignments to work centers or individuals for scheduling, based on data supplied *Ability to communicate and coordinate service with 3rd party partners, when applicable.
