Profile

Essential Functions: Sources parts and materials, ensuring best values and acceptable lead times. Directly works with vendors on negotiating pricing, lead times, and purchasing schedules in order to ensure construction projects and maintenance department do not experience any delays. Pulls information from Bill of Materials and/or Plan Take-offs to generate purchases. Develops Request for Proposals (RFP), solicits bids, and coordinates with Construction Project Management Team on contractor selection. Develops comparison matrix on all purchased items. Coordinates with various departments within Glidewell to confirm any equipment plans/purchases that would result in Facility work. Properly codes purchases following Accounting and Purchasing guidelines. Confirms material deliveries, notifies requestors, and coordinates with Material Handling team for onsite delivery/storage. Researches products and materials to find the best applications. Manages inner department flow of purchasing approvals. Generates and reconciles expense reports, reports back to management on spending habits. Works with Accounting Department on any discrepancies. Manages department\u2019s Maintenance Credit Card. Responsible for tracking of receipts, users, and use policy. Generates and submits monthly credit card expense report to Accounting Department. Coordinates with Facility Purchasing Department on delivery ETA\u2019s, vendor payments, and establishing new vendor accounts. Develops and maintains a Purchasing Dashboard to provide Facility Department users a go to source of purchasing information. Develops trainings and trains inner department team members on proper purchasing and coding procedures. Assembles information, and generates presentations on department spending habits and opportunities for improvement. Conducts meetings to Department Heads and Accounting personnel. Manages departments scrap policy, including development of standard operating procedures, check in and check out, and approvals. Creates advertisements and manages transactions for the sell on any used equipment. Ensures the highest selling price. Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.\u00A0Education and Experience:Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Construction Management. Minimum five (5) years of purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.Previous experience working within an established ERP-Enterprise Resource software system i.e. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc. in managing supply chain related activities i.e. MRP, Forecasting, Inventory Control and Logistics.\u00A0Special Requirements/Certification: Previous experience working with construction materials, preferred. Pay range: $26.00-43.00/hr.\u00A0
