Senior Group Manager – Technology Compliance

The candidate reporting in to the Global Head of Enterprise Wide Functions Compliance, which encompasses oversight functions for Technology, Operations, Privacy, Data Management, Resiliency and Third Party Governance. This role presents a unique opportunity to help shape BNY Mellon’s new technology compliance framework. Provide leadership and guidance to the team on Technology-specific matters, including global coordination for regulatory exam management and remediation activities. Lead face to face interactions with key internal and external stakeholders across all lines of defense, including Senior Leaders, Regulators and Boards/Committees. Manage compliance oversight of, and participation, in technology regulatory exam management; partnering with Technology and business to address remediation of Audit, Compliance and Regulator Exam findings. Manage the horizon scanning, analysis and stakeholder interaction framework for new and amended technology laws and regulations. Direct and manage provision of independent regulatory guidance, escalation and credible challenge to Technology; participate in Technology governance forums and key advisory & strategic working group meetings. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise including senior Technology, Risk and Compliance partners . Produce regular risk assessment documents - Compliance Risk Assessment and Compliance Plan; including identification of risk and concerns for High Level Assessment process and regular compliance dashboards representing health of and present to governance committees, as appropriate. Direct a team of professional staff across multiple locations, oversee the delivery of expert guidance in the development and implementation of applicable policies and procedures and delivery of employee training, as appropriate/ Oversee development of strategic plans for independent monitoring of technology processes to ensure compliance with minimum regulatory and company requirements. Participate in significant business process change initiatives including new technology products and services and changes to existing products and services to identify opportunities to manage technology compliance risk effectively and efficiently. A Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA, JD or professional certification preferred. 12-15 years of total work experience, with 3-5 years of management experience, preferred. Financial Services, Audit or Compliance background and/or experience with financial services compliance and/or experience with the assigned products, services or business lines/areas and the pertaining laws, regulations and rules of relevant regulators preferred.
