The candidate will support all aspects of the Department’s responsibilities, including contract matters, transactional, labor and employment, litigation, reporting, licensing, and regulatory/government affairs. Conscientious completer of Legal Department responsibilities, ensuring deadlines are met, reports are complete, responses are timely filed, letters are sent, documents are filed, and files are organized. Thoughtful in drafting and coordinating responses to subpoenas and governmental and administrative claims (i.e., DOT, FAA, EEOC, OSHA, TSA, and state regulators) and charges, as well as managing corporate, intellectual property, and regulatory filings. Diligent in factual and legal research and utilizing specialized software (e.g. Westlaw, Pacer) and internal database software (SharePoint) and tools to locate, compile and analyze information. Fastidious in prioritizing contract/matter review for Legal Department and outside counsel and marshaling internal resources to ensure timely execution of key priorities. Creative in creating, maintaining, and updating templates, forms, and guidelines, as well as information on Legal Department databases (SharePoint) and contract management systems, and delivering weekly and monthly reporting to the General Counsel. Meticulous in drafting correspondence, gathering, and analyzing information and documents for discovery responses, subpoenas, and motions. Helpful in assisting with policy drafting and rollout for all company functional areas. Vigilant in assisting with tracking legal developments and identifying issues and recommending possible solutions and courses of action to Legal Department’s attorneys. Must be experienced in public-company style governance processes, including drafting resolutions and consents, interacting with Board members, and assisting with minutes, committee matters, and general governance items. Should have 5+ years’ experience in a law firm or corporate in-house counsel setting. Must have significant experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) & Adobe Professional. Must be able to compare Word and PPT documents without assistance and maintain versioning and files with ease. Should have work experience performing legal and factual research utilizing Westlaw and the internet. A Paralegal Certificate and Bachelor's degree is desired.
