The Chief of Staff will be an integral member of the New York Life Ventures (NYLV) team reporting to the Head of NYL Ventures. In this role the Chief of Staff will be a strategic partner to the NYLV leadership team helping to effectively achieve the various goals and objectives of NYLV. This individual will also serve as a versatile day-to-day resource in support of the rapidly growing mission of NYLV.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
*Provide operational support to the Head of NYLV, including oversight and management of activities and workflow associated with overall departmental management. *Support the key businesses of NYLV on strategic and/or operational business matters (businesses include: Innovation Services, R&D Lab, Venture Investments and Business Development). *Collaborate with NYL business/control partners to assess and deliver relevant and reliable information to support intra-departmental collaboration, promote the mission of NYLV and help drive effective decision-making. *Manage the reporting process for the NYLV Group, including any ad hoc presentations to Senior Management. *Assist with meeting preparation (e.g. agenda development and collection of materials) and track/synthesize follow-up actions. *Assist in managing internal and external communications/PR. *Independent leadership of special projects and initiatives, as needed.
