Patent Coordinator

The candidate will be preparing and filing US patent applications. Providing legal administrative support for patent prosecution (working with attorneys and patent agents to prepare and file prosecution papers). Attending to various patent-related formalities (Powers of Attorney, responses to pre-examination notices, papers to make corrections, etc.). Managing collection and filing of formal documents (inventor declarations, assignments). Preparing and filing Information Disclosure Statements. Reviewing Patent Term Adjustment determinations, proofing patents, filing Certificates of Correction, and similar activities. Special projects as needed (handling portfolio transfers, client reports, etc.). Administrative tasks may include entering billable time, docket management, and file maintenance. Bachelor’s degree and at least one to two years of patent-related experience preferred. The candidate must have great attention to detail and a disciplined eye for quality checking document accuracy. The candidate must have excellent computer skills and a strong knowledge of standard office software (e.g., MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat).
