In this context, Service Modernization refers to a comprehensive suite of AI use cases that enable enterprises to serve and service its customers across various touchpoints by:

Having an acute understanding of each customer's service profile

Delivering superior service experiences proactively, preemptively and on-demand with an appreciation of the context, persona, and journey

Using machine learning algorithms to optimize and automate an enterprise's service operation

Employing current and emerging technologies such as connected things, AR/VR, NLP for effective customer engagement.

Director, Data Engineering Role Develops, build, maintain, test and evaluates data solutions within organizations. Generates data for large-scale data processing systems, is an expert in data warehousing / data lake solutions. Should be able to work with the latest (NoSQL) database technologies. Understands the data generation techniques and works with both simulated data and/or data from public domain or customer provided. Extract and deliver data to data scientists on demand. Assist in development of PoCs. Responsibilities

Generate data for ingestion, processing, and validation for large-scale applications

Extract data from one database and load it into another

Use many different scripting languages, understanding the nuances and benefits of each, to combine systems

Research and discover new methods to acquire data, and new applications for existing data

Experience in coming up with scenarios for synthetic data generation based on requirements and proficiency in generating synthetic data

Ability to work with publicly available data and fill gaps through data generation wherever required

Work with other members of the team, including architects, and data scientists to meet data requirements.

Skills

10 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field, or has the requisite experience.

In-depth understanding of database architecture and data warehousing

Expertise in statistical modeling and regression analysis as it relates to identifying right data sets

Synthetic data generation using tools like python or any other tools

Distributed computing and splitting algorithms to yield predictive accuracy

Proficiency in languages, especially R, SAS, Scala, Python, C/C , Ruby Perl, Java

Experience in working with database solution languages, especially SQL/NoSQL, as well as Snowflake, Cassandra

Ability to work with operating systems, especially Linux and Windows

Experience working with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.

Expertise working with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.

Experience with Azure cloud services: ADLS, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Bricks is a plus

Experience with data generation tools like Anylogic is a plus

Machine learning, including Apache Spark and TensorFlow is a plus

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $126,535 to $233,030.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
