This exciting position is ideal for a versatile thinker, with an analytical background in omnichannel apparel retail, who can change gears quickly and apply out of the box thinking to different business problems around the topics of pricing, planning and testing.
The Senior Analyst will own and expand the retail/direct to consumer testing capabilities of the brand through the use of third party software that facilitates sophisticated statistical testing. The Senior Analyst will develop a close relationship with multiple cross functional groups to organize, deploy and communicate results periodically.
The Senior Analyst will provide SKU productivity and other hindsighting analysis to support the Merchants/Planning/Allocation teams.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with a quantitative background and have an existing knowledge of the modern retail environment. This individual should have an understanding of databases and excellent Excel and data analysis skills. The Sr. Analyst must possess an intermediate skill set in SQL, R Studio and Tableau. A deeply curious mind and an aptitude for learning are essential for success.
Responsibilities:
*Develop, execute and maintain initial pricing strategies across retail and online. *Partner with Store Operations, Merchandising, Planning, Allocation and Digital Marketing in developing and deploying retail focused tests to gather insights on promotional and assortment effectiveness in stores. *Provide detailed insights into SKU/Style productivity across all merchandise categories to inform end of quarter hindsighting and pre planning assortment targets. *Develop SQL scripts on inventory, sales and customer databases to answer questions from Senior Leadership. *Efficient PowerPoint and presentation skills to communicate testing results/insights to a broad audience of different backgrounds and seniority. *Provide ad hoc analysis as needed. *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. *Accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree or higher *Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel *Intermediate knowledge of databases, SQL, R Studio and Tableau or other BI tools *Experience in retail planning, allocation or buying *Outstanding analytical skills & data driven mindset *Hands-on experience with Inventory management & data mining *Ability to work independently and be self-motivated *3+ years of analytics experience in retail (or related field) including a background in inventory management. 5+ years professional experience in a related field (finance, consulting, marketing) or commensurate academic experience
