Director of Alumni Relations

The candidate will be responsible for enhancing and executing a firmwide alumni relations program, including assessing ongoing efforts, recommending improvements, and effective branding and marketing the program to firm alumni and internal stakeholders. Will work closely with partners and other stakeholders to develop and implement the alumni relations strategy, work plan, and infrastructure necessary to support the program’s goals. Work with senior leadership to develop consensus and support of strategy and objectives. Identify and work with team members to execute alumni focused- activities (e.g., networking events, referral networks) that will support the business development goals and objectives specified by the firm. Provide strategic guidance and work with team members to plan and execute events, which may include regional or office-specific alumni-focused events; ensure that alumni are included in firm seminars and other networking events/receptions. Collaborate with the firm’s leadership and business services staff, leveraging alumni relationships in achieving the firm’s recruitment, retention, mentoring, outplacement, and networking goals. Manage and enhance career placement services and a referral network with services to include helping to fill client openings and assisting with attorney transitions out of the firm. Develop a network of alumni who are interested in coaching, mentoring, speaking, and referral opportunities. Create internal marketing materials that clearly articulate the program’s value proposition, benefits, and goals for the alumni relations program. Oversee and maintain the alumni website.
