Supervisor, Tooling','18300637','!*!Job TitleSupervisor-ToolingFLSA StatusExemptPosition Summary The Tooling Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in making and repairing plastic injection molds, assembly equipment, jigs, fixtures, gauges and machinist hand tools. The Tooling Supervisor will supervise and coordinate troubleshooting, and direct corrective action to assure on-time delivery.PM Schedule and repairs.Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Participates with peers, superiors and subordinates in achieving objectives of quality, timely delivery of products, and planned cost and personnel relationships and development• Responsible for directing workforce and providing support to direct reports• Interface with other departments on quality, financial and other matters• Provides direct supervision and guidance to the Production Supervisors on the shift• Establish and meet project goals• Initiates process improvements, meets or exceeds cost reduction goals and develops programs for implementation• Utilizes effective judgment in notifying the Sustain Tooling Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Facility Manager and others of serious matters related to safety, personnel or operational deficiencies or emergencies• Coordinate activities to ensure departmental compliance to all Federal, State, Local and Company regulatory requirements. These elements include FDA, EPA, OSHA, ISO, EEOC and Company policies relative to the manufacture of product, lot control requirements, documentation requirements, housekeeping, preventative maintenance, calibration, associate training and safety (equipment, associate and material).• Perform these and other duties as necessary or required, the inclusion of which will not alter the basic scope of the positionKnowledge, Skills & Qualifications• Must be a creative problem solver with the ability to create Schedule Systems in Sustain Tooling• Experience with capital equipment aftermarket and customer support is required• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Education and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 10 years of experience required • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Injection Molding and/or Medical Device manufacturing environmentMinimum Qualifications• Must be 18 years of age• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkTravel Requirements • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the timePhysical Requirements and Work Environment • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.• Work may be performed in a clean room environment• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.• Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 25 poundsWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, Female/Minority/Veterans/Disabled/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.','','US-UT-Salt Lake City','','Full-time','Day Job','','Supervisor, Tooling
