The Director, NA Specialty Commercial Planning drives the cross functional collaboration between Marketing, Merchandising, Market Planning, Finance, and Stores to build annual & seasonal marketing plans in conjunction with Online Marketing that puts the customer first and delivers sales goals. Balance strategy preseason planning with in season contingencies to drive long term growth along with weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals. Collaborate with global counterparts to share best practices and learnings. Leverage customer insights to connect with customers where and when they are open to engagement with the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop pre-season commercial plan for Specialty, Outlet and Online channels in partnership with Marketing communications merchandising IM

Coordinate & Deliver all GWP needs

Responsible to develop and Brief creative needs for commercial activity

Transfer all upstream deliverables to in-season teams seamlessly to deliver on the business

Oversee commercial activity effectiveness for each channel (promotional offers, GWP’s, etc)

Manage & accountable for budget across all channels

Depth of experience and expertise in retail marketing, fashion retail preferable

Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to influence cross functionally and with senior leadership

Excellent analytical and retail math skills with understanding of how promotion levers can be pulled to drive key metrics (Topline Sales, Traffic, Conversion, etc)

An expressed understanding of the Gap brand (including brand positioning, target customer, brand aesthetic, competitive landscape)

Proven experience and ability to work with cross functional teams within a highly-matrixed organization
