We are seeking an experienced Recruiter / Senior Recruiter to reach beyond our traditional pipelines of talent and identify great candidates for news management positions (Executive Producers, Assistant News Directors, News Directors, Directors of Content) across all our markets.

Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter will be responsible for full life-cycle recruitment of requisitions in a fast-paced environment. The position can be based at our headquarters in McLean, VA, or in one of our markets.

Responsibilities:

Source, screen, and recruit news and content leaders who embrace change, drive creativity and innovation, inspire their teams to excel, develop talent and make data-driven decisions to grow audiencePartner with our news executives to determine what great looks like in each role and assess our talent against that benchmark

In cooperation with HR Business Partners, grow our internal talent through career development and mobility

Build an external pipeline of news managers, paying particular attention to diversity initiatives and creative sourcing techniques

Identify leaders in the field, and cultivate relationships with talent through organizations and events

Develop a structured interview process that assesses talent for desired attributes

Embrace the company's branding strategy in the recruitment lifecycle

Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience

Maximize the company's tools, processes, protocols and knowledge to provide a modern, efficient, and compliant hiring process

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree

3-7 years of talent acquisition experience; preferably in the digital, content, or entertainment space

High volume and full life-cycle recruiting experience; must be able to manage a workload of 10 requisitions at a time

Expertise in sourcing passive talent via online resources, referrals, and outreach; experience with tools like LinkedIn, CRM, and applicant tracking systems

General knowledge of recruitment/hiring laws and practices

Genuine interest in connecting others, uncovering common interests, and matching talent with opportunities

Ability to quickly adapt to and embrace new technology; desire for continuous improvement

Excellent social media knowledge and skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Outstanding communication & organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and desire for continuous learning & improvement

Strong customer focus and effective use of consultative approach with clients

Known for being resourceful, taking initiative, and demonstrating a sense of urgency

Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve complex recruitment and hiring issues with minimum guidance
